As part of the European project “Youth Seeds for a Just Transition – Youtransition”, the project partners implemented a Transnational Awareness Campaign consisting of six online events organised between January and July 2026. Each partner country hosted an online event in Greece, France, Portugal, Poland, Italy and Georgia, with each event focusing on a different aspect of the Just Transition. The campaign explored key themes such as inclusive participation, the Social and Solidarity Economy, youth organisations, democratic engagement, urban regeneration and participatory youth policymaking.
“United in Diversity: Youth Practices for an Inclusive Future”
The first online event was organised by the Greek project partner Learning Seed on 29 January 2026. Entitled “United in Diversity: Youth Practices for an Inclusive Future”, the event brought together more than 50 youth workers, educators, civil society representatives, institutional actors and young people from different European countries. Participants explored inclusive approaches in youth work and education, with a particular focus on inclusion, accessibility and youth participation.
“Youth, Social and Solidarity Economy and Just Transition: Shaping Fair and Resilient Territories Together”
The second online event was organised by the French partner LENA on 27 February 2026, under the title “Youth, Social and Solidarity Economy and Just Transition: Shaping Fair and Resilient Territories Together”. The event focused on the Just Transition, the Social and Solidarity Economy and youth advocacy, attracting 52 active participants.
“Empowering Youth Organisations for a Just Transition: Skills, Tools and Local Partnerships”
On 25 March 2026, the Portuguese organisation FNAJ hosted the third online event, entitled “Empowering Youth Organisations for a Just Transition: Skills, Tools and Local Partnerships”. The discussions focused on youth organisations, local partnerships and civic engagement, with a total of 72 participants taking part in the event.
“Frameworks for Change: Advancing Youth Participation in Local and Regional Life”
The fourth online event of the consortium took place on 22 April 2026 and was organised by the Polish partner SZANSA. The event, entitled “Frameworks for Change: Advancing Youth Participation in Local and Regional Life”, gathered 52 participants and provided an opportunity to explore and deepen their knowledge of democratic participation and European youth policy.
“Youth Participation, Urban Regeneration and Sustainable-Oriented Municipalities: Lessons Learned and Best Practices from Italy and Europe”
The fifth online event was organised by the three Italian project partners, Project School, Lecce and AnciLab, and took place on 27 May 2026. Entitled “Youth Participation, Urban Regeneration and Sustainable-Oriented Municipalities: Lessons Learned and Best Practices from Italy and Europe”, the event brought together 53 participants, who had the opportunity to analyse and learn more about urban regeneration, co-design and collaborative governance.
“Participatory Approaches in Youth Policy: Policy Making with Youth”
The final online event of the campaign was organised by the Georgian partner Youth Agency on 10 July 2026. The event, entitled “Participatory Approaches in Youth Policy: Policy Making with Youth”, focused on participatory policymaking and youth councils, with 39 participants taking part.
Overall, the six online events recorded more than 325 participations, bringing together participants representing 17 countries, from Europe and beyond. The Transnational Awareness Campaign provided an important opportunity for young people, institutions, municipalities, youth workers and other professionals by creating a transnational space for learning, dialogue and exchange, highlighting the important role that young people and youth organisations can play in shaping more inclusive, participatory and sustainable communities.
