Work Package 2 - Youth activation empowerment

This work package focuses on activating and empowering young people to participate actively and effectively in just transition processes.

Activities

Youth Policy Stakeholder Assessment Report: Study and assess existing youth policies and programmes in order to better understand the levers and challenges for youth involvement in decision-making.

Mapping and connecting stakeholders: Identify and connect stakeholders (decision-makers, associations, young people) to build a solid network supporting youth participation.

Programme ‘Transnational School of Service Design for Just Transition ’: Train youth workers in the principles of service design so that they can design solutions to the challenges of ecological transition and social inclusion.

Call to action: Select youth workers motivated to support the project and actively involve young people in their community.

Online training for digital citizenship: Offer online training modules for youth workers to acquire the skills needed to participate fully in public life.

International Residential Campus: Organise an international physical gathering to strengthen collaboration, skills exchange and mutual learning between youth workers.

Local events: Set up local events to engage young people and raise their awareness of just transition issues.

Peer Learning Workshops: Promote peer-to-peer exchanges through workshops, in order to share experiences and good practices for a positive impact within local communities.

Work Package 3 : Enhance democratic participation

This work package aims to improve young people’s involvement in democratic processes and to encourage them to co-create innovative public services to meet the challenges of a just transition.

Activities :

Public Innovation Lab – Service Design Workshops: Offering young people a space to develop innovative services that respond to the challenges of just transition and inclusion. These workshops include practical service design exercises.

International peer-to-peer meeting: Organise meetings between young people from different countries to share ideas, solutions and feedback on their involvement in the Just Transition.

International pitch competition: Enable young people to present their service projects to a panel of decision-makers and experts, with a view to recognising and highlighting the best ideas.

Prototyping and testing services: Support young people in prototyping and testing the services they have designed, gathering feedback from users in order to optimise the proposed services.

Collaboration framework (MoC) and toolkit: Develop a Memorandum of cooperation (MoC) and a practical toolkit to enable young people and local authorities to replicate or invent co-created practices and services.
